Who we are

Built by people who
ran the miles first.

Unex Trade LTD started the way most good carriers do — with a driver who got tired of being treated like a truck number.

Today we run a modern over-the-road fleet of Volvo VNL, Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth and International tractors — all 2021 and newer, all APU-equipped, all inspected before they leave the yard. Behind every one of them sits a dispatcher who knows your name, your reset schedule, and what you will and won't run.

We haul dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, stepdeck and hazmat freight across all 48 states for shippers who need the load to show up when they were told it would. Simple promise, kept every week since day one.

What you get

Everything a driver asks about
before they sign.

No fine print theatre. Here is exactly how we run, and you can hold us to all six of these.

01

24/7 live dispatch

Dispatchers with 5+ years behind them pick up at 2 a.m. — and if yours isn't the right fit, our switch program moves you to another one, no questions.

02

Late-model equipment

2021 and newer Volvo, Freightliner, Kenworth and International. APUs, inverters, fridges, and a shop that fixes things before they strand you.

03

Paid weekly, guaranteed

You get the settlement statement before the payment lands — every deduction visible. And if we're ever late, you get $100 on top. That's a written guarantee.

04

Respect, not micromanagement

No forced dispatch. You see the load, the rate and the lane before you commit — and "no" is a complete answer here.

05

Problems handled fast

Breakdown, detention, rework, a receiver playing games — we escalate the same hour, coordinate the service call, and cash advances are there when the road gets expensive.

06

Predictable home time

Tell us your reset once and we plan around it. Two weeks out, three days home is the standard — and we hit it, not "aim for" it.

Equipment & services

Flexible logistics,
built around your freight.

Five trailer types under one MC number, so your load doesn't get handed off three times before it moves.

Dry Van 53 ft

General freight, palletized or floor-loaded, on the fastest legal routing available.

  • Air-ride, swing & roll doors
  • Load bars, straps and e-track supplied
  • Sealed & scanned at every stop

Refrigerated −20 °F → +70 °F

Produce, protein, pharma and anything else that fails the moment the temperature drifts.

  • Continuous temp logging, downloadable
  • Pre-cooled & washed out before load
  • Multi-temp and fresh-load capable

Flatbed 48–53 ft

Steel, lumber, machinery and building materials that were never going to fit through a dock door.

  • Tarps, coil racks, chains & binders
  • Oversize permits handled in-house
  • Securement-trained drivers only

Stepdeck Tall & heavy

Extra deck height for freight that clears legal on a flatbed but not by much.

  • Ramps available for rolling loads
  • Route surveys on over-height moves
  • Escort coordination when required

Hazmat Placarded

Certified, endorsed and audited — the classes most carriers quietly decline.

  • Hazmat-endorsed, TWIC-eligible drivers
  • Emergency response plan on every load
  • Full placarding & documentation

Something else?

Power only, expedited team runs, drop-and-hook programs, dedicated lanes — if it rolls on eighteen wheels, ask us.

Straight answers

Frequently asked,
honestly answered.

Solo OTR drivers average 2,800–3,200 miles a week with us; teams run 5,500–6,000, and team company drivers get a written 6,000+ mile guarantee. If a week comes in short because of a breakdown or a soft market, we tell you why and make it up on the next dispatch instead of pretending it didn't happen.
It depends on the program. Solo owner operators and lease operators run $8,000–$12,000 gross a week; team owner operators and team company drivers run $13,000–$17,000; team lease operators $12,000–$16,000. Owner operators keep up to 90% of gross, lease operators 85–88%, company drivers 35% of gross or 75–80 cpm. The full breakdown with every deduction is in the driver offers section — nothing is hidden until orientation.
Standard is two to three weeks out, three to four days home, but the schedule is yours to set. Tell your dispatcher the dates you need at hire and they get written into your driver profile — not into somebody's memory. We plan the load board backwards from your reset, which is why we can promise it instead of hoping for it.
A valid Class A CDL, OTR availability, a clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen — always. After that it depends on the program: owner operators need their own truck (2010 or newer preferred) plus active authority, age 23–65, and as little as one month of experience. Lease operators need one year and are age 23–55. Team company drivers need six months, age 23–55.
Yes, and they're all in writing before you sign: a $500 driver referral bonus, up to $300 for no violations and safe driving, our $100 on-time payment guarantee if we ever pay late, layover and detention pay, cash advances when you need them, plus ELD setup and fuel card programs. Team drivers also get access to our team matching program.
You call the 24/7 line and a dispatcher takes over the problem — locating a shop, arranging the tow, rerouting the load and talking to the receiver so you don't have to. Layover and detention pay keep running while you sit, and cash advances are available the same day. How the repair itself is billed depends on your program: on company and lease trucks we handle it, and owner operators carry their own maintenance — your recruiter will spell that out before you sign.
Yes — it's one of our strongest programs. Owner operators keep up to 90% of gross, with weekly settlements and the statement issued before payment. Deductions are flat and published: $350/week cargo and liability insurance, $135/week IFTA and ELD admin, physical damage per agreement, and a one-time $600 escrow. You need a truck (2010 or newer preferred), active authority and a clean record. Call us and we'll run your actual numbers before you commit to anything.
